How to Install an eSIM

Step-by-step instructions for installing an eSIM on iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel, and other devices.

Installing on iPhone

  1. Open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data).
  2. Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
  3. Choose Use QR Code.
  4. Scan the QR code provided after your purchase.
  5. Tap Continue and wait for the plan to activate.
  6. Label the plan (e.g., "Travel Data").
  7. Set it as your default data line when you arrive at your destination.
  8. Enable Data Roaming under the new eSIM settings.

Installing on Samsung Galaxy

  1. Open Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
  2. Tap Add eSIM.
  3. Choose "Scan QR code from service provider".
  4. Scan the QR code and follow the prompts.
  5. Enable the new eSIM for mobile data.

Installing on Google Pixel

  1. Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs.
  2. Tap + (Add) next to SIMs.
  3. Choose "Download a SIM instead".
  4. Scan the QR code.
  5. Follow the setup prompts to complete installation.

Tips

  1. Install before your trip: You can install the eSIM before you travel. The plan timer starts when you first connect to a network at your destination.
  2. Keep your main SIM active: The eSIM works alongside your physical SIM. Keep your main number for calls and SMS.
  3. Restart if needed: If the eSIM doesn't connect immediately, try restarting your phone.
