Yes! WhatsApp works perfectly with eSIM data. You can send messages, make voice calls, and video calls over your eSIM data connection. WhatsApp uses your home phone number (on your physical SIM), so your contacts don't need a new number.

When airplane mode is on, all wireless connections (including eSIM) are disabled. However, you can turn airplane mode on and then manually re-enable cellular data for just your eSIM line — this lets you use data while keeping your home SIM's calls and SMS off, which is great for avoiding roaming charges.
